Anything could be happening here and no-one would know... The birds have fallen silent. Tom Greenstreet and his friends know something is wrong in the abandoned landscape they love to explore - the place they call 'The Shade'. Dark, fleeting shapes. Distant, unearthly cries. And a stranger watching them from the trees, who seems to know what all this means. When Tom's best friend Cal comes face to face with The Shade's new residents, he can't bring himself to describe what he's seen. Why have these nightmare creatures come here? To search, to seek.
