J.W. Rogerson is Emeritus Professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield and a Canon Emeritus of Sheffield Cathedral. His many publications cover the historical, geographical and social background to the Old Testament, the history of biblical interpretation, and the use of the Bible in moral, social, political and environmental issues.

John J. Vincent is (D.Theol. 1960, Basel) is Honorary Lecturer in Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield. He is the editor of Mark: Gospel of Action and joint author of The Drama of Mark and The City in Biblical Perspective. He previously edited the volumes Stilling the Storm (2011), Acts in Practice (2012) and The Farewell Discourses in Practice (2015) in this series.
