The Baker's Dozen gather for their monthly book club meeting, but what they don't know is one of them will be found lifeless by the end of the evening. Talented baker Ruby Starr turns amateur sleuth to find the culprit before it's too late.
Welcome to the whimsical riverfront town of Iris Cove, where the extraordinary is actually the ordinary. Pumpkin Spice Latte has returned to the menu at Bake Someone Happy, where Ruby serves scrumptious baked delights that always turn out perfect, even the coffee orders. She suspects there's more to her aunt Claire's bakery than meets the eye. Could it have anything to do with the pleasant dove that lives on top of the building? And what about the ladybugs that show up when her former boyfriend, Griffin, is around?
When Ruby discovers a dead body outside the bakery, she teams up with her feisty feline, Ashton, to find out who did it. Together, they uncover secrets revealing everyone in question had a motive. She knows she must move fast before the murderer strikes again.
