The purpose of this book is to evaluate the use of the school newspaper as a didactic tool in the classroom, taking into account that reading, as a fundamental activity for the development and formation of students, becomes, through the school newspaper, a reflective, constructive and critical action of meaning in real situations. In the same way, in the academic environment, reading is an essential factor that allows the activation of mental and cognitive functions, improvement and enrichment of oral and written expression. In addition, the interaction of the reader with the text allows to stimulate the interest in reading and its comprehension, and for this reason, didactic strategies were planned to promote significant learning, using the elaboration of the newspaper in the classroom as a didactic tool for the significant learning of reading.
