The School Director

Professor Ulla Sills is a college teacher who one day decides to realize her lifelong dream of opening her own language school in a small town in Southern California.

We follow her through a quarter of a century as she grows her school from a one-classroom start-up into two successful English language institutes, meeting students from every corner of the world, dealing with educational organizations, state bureaucracies, and political events that directly impact her schools, and never losing the enthusiasm and drive that motivated her in the first place, to be "the master of [her] fate, the captain of [her] soul."
