"Book 1 - The Amazing Mutant Boy" is the first in a planned series of at least twelve books entitled "The Savior: A Scientific, Theological and Sexual Fantasy." The series is the story of a very unusual boy that is extensively and secretly modified before birth by a higher-dimensional cosmic engineer called "The Creator." The time setting is a couple of decades in the future when deteriorating environmental conditions, growing wealth inequality, wars over freshwater and sectarian conflict threaten to drag humanity into an apocalyptic disaster. As the boy eventually discovers, it is his "mission" to prevent this. By the time he is a teenager, an astonishing array of abilities have emerged, powers that he will have to use to save life on earth.Book 1 begins with the Creator, who exists in a 5-dimensional domain. He and his team of cosmic engineers create our universe and then, as they see life repeatedly destroying itself, he fashions a boy to save life on its planet. The rest of Book 1 follows the boy's childhood from birth to his 14th year. The boy, named Mikhail by his parents, Anna and Peter Ivanov, is very different from other children. His growth rate is unusually rapid, his sensory abilities are beyond human, his eyes glow slightly as a function of his emotional state, his ability to learn new skills, including playing musical instruments, is phenomenal, and he is extremely smart, fast and strong. Tests show he has very strange, highly "mutated" genes and, according to the scientists, he shouldn't even be alive. While a beautiful child, Mikhail's early years are not very happy because he is called a "freak" and frequently rejected by other children. He gets his first real friend at 5 years of age when he meets Tati, an 8-year-old girl that accepts him as a "little superboy." In his 10th year, a tragic event leaves him desolated. It is then that Mikhail finds out he was engineered and must save life on the planet. Initially, he rejects this burden but eventually comes to accept it. In the following years, he uses his exceptional musical abilities to reach out to other young people. He sings about how those in control are "ruining our future" through their greed, and he condemns humanity's violent, destructive behavior. By his 13th year, he and his "Mutant Boy Band" are world-famous and his network of young supporters is growing rapidly. It is also as a young teenager that he discovers he can enhance girls, making them stronger and smarter, and these enhanced girls, including Tati, become major players in his organization. Unfortunately, his message of change meets with opposition and condemnation by many of the world's wealthy and powerful. When Mikhail reveals he was designed by a higher power to save life on earth, many conservative religious leaders denounce him as a "false prophet." Plots arise to assassinate him.The story is unique and unusual in combining elements of science fiction, fantasy, and romance. As a "superhero" story, it is also unusual in that the main character, the "Mutant Boy," depends upon a growing worldwide network of young people to succeed. For reasons central to his "mission," enhanced young women play an especially important role in all this, but they too face threats and dangers.
