The Rushing Tide

After the death of his wife, Ben Rhydderck and his son Jim, join 98 other adventurous souls and launch out into the unknown. They sell their homes and leave Earth, headed for the far away planet Tjardiz to build new homes. They have to bring everything with them that they will need to set up new homes and build a land. Once they make the months long journey, they brave the endless vistas of grasslands and the terrors of the forests and murderous men. They find a lovely broad valley in which to dwell and set up new homes and a new town. They are alone in the vastness and must help each other and work together to survive. There are savage beasts and even more savage men to deal with. They live, find love, and thrive on the new world. This action filled story moves quickly, spanning a number of years. Ben and Jim, as with he others, overcome obstacles, terrors, and trouble, and find within themselves a strength they never knew they possessed. Ben and Jim find themselves growing to fit the broad land, becoming more than they ever thought they could ever be.
