On an express train from Rome to Paris, a disparate group of passengers retreat to their sleeper berths... When one of the passengers is found murdered, the authorities begin an investigation. Which of the passengers is guilty? The widow? Her maid? A General? One of the businessmen? The clergymen? Will the crime be solved and the killer brought to book before the express arrives in Paris?
