Beskrivelse
One of the most enduring legends in all literature is that of Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Since the twelfth century, the mysterious outlaw has occupied a prominent position in the minds of all Englishmen. But was there actually a Robin Hood? Was he a real person or a compilation of other English outlaws whose exploits grew as his story passed from century to century? A major feature of the legends has Robin robbing from the rich and giving to the poor as he opposed the brutal oppression of Prince and later King John and his factotum, the Sheriff of Nottingham. But did he give it all away or was his fabulous fortune hidden away from not only the Crown, but from his fellow outlaws as well? These are the questions that confront Professor Bradley Davison of Queens College in New York City as he once again is called upon by the NYPD to assist in solving a series of brutal serial killings that all somehow seem to have something to do with Robin Hood. Brad Davison, Chairman of the History Department and Director of the Center for Medieval Studies must piece together the clues to the murders which ultimately put his life and the life of his wife Libby in great danger. Professor Davison, hero of The Caltrap Murders, and nine other mystery novels now faces his greatest challenge: solving an eight hundred year old mystery and finding the individual responsible for the murders. But can he do it before the killer strikes again?
