While remodeling a house into a bed and breakfast inn, brother and sister combo Jake and Kellie find more than they bargain for as they discover secret passages and a tunnel used by the Underground Railroad to aid escaping slaves. When Kellie stumbles on a diary kept by the original owner's daughter, she reads hints of a valuable treasure hidden somewhere in the house. Can they really find the treasure? And who is the mysterious stranger who keeps trying to delay their work with his nighttime break-ins? This book is the first of three in a series involving Jake and Kellie.
