Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce tribe were driven from their homeland and forced into a "flight for freedom". The result was disastrous for the tribe as they were stopped forty miles from the Canadian border and freedom. Kathy Bradley''s world had reached a dead end too. Single motherhood, a twice failed marriage and a boring sales job had taken Kathy to a world where restless spirits roamed. Her obsession with the story of Chief Joseph caused her to form a friendship with the ghost of the legendary chief of the Nez Perce.
