The resurrection of a dead heart

Mark and Brooks were great lovers and they enjoyed themselves, They never wanted to be away from each other. It continued so even when they just wedded. But along the line, they got too focused on their career and barely had time for each other. They had a son(Max), He's doing well because he did not allow what was going on with his parents to affect him. Brooks continued to come home late, denied Mark sex and just acts like she was seeing someone else. Then mark hired Jack's cousins that were retired sheriffs and after their investigations, they discovered she wasn't cheating but on a particular day, she sounded suspicious so the private investigator he hired, asked him to return home early. Mark did and saw the arrangement of a man and his wife in the bedroom. It was a set-up because she knew mark was spying on her and unfortunately for Mark, it was her lawyer who helped her file the divorce against him. It was on a fair term though, they finally divorced and mark went on vacation just to help him overcome the thoughts of his wife that just left him. He enjoyed himself with different women at that time then he came back to his base after some months where he helped a woman named Peyton. Love surfaced between them and every moment they spent together was memorable. He did not even go intimate with her because he wanted to do it the right way. He lost his civilian job but still had the military job that took him away for a short while. Of course, Peyton waited for him and he couldn't get her off his thoughts while he was away. Then he came back and ended up with Peyton and they lived happily.
