The Reluctant Superhero Book 1

Randold, or Rand, isn't a Super. Well, technically, he is, but he is trying to hide that fact. He has the ability to control all energies, including, as he found out, other Superpowers. He found out at a young age that he could control his own Superpowers but also those of others. Which, while amazing, would get him into a heap of trouble with the government. In the way of a jail cell or worse.

But that left a significant responsibility on his shoulders. And Rand didn't want it. He never wanted to be a Super. He just wanted to live an everyday life, go to University and graduate and get a decent job in Business somewhere. Not save the world. Supers have been around for over twenty years now. Though admittedly, the first Super to show up was a Supervillain. But, a week later, a Superhero showed up to take down that Supervillain. Ever since then, the world has changed.

It wasn't just the people that changed, but even animals. They somehow mutated into monsters. Even small things like rabbits had mutated and were considered a level-two threat. An average human was a level-one. A Super? Anywhere from level-three to the highest levels of Titan and Dragon threat levels. Now, all of humanity lived in City-States. Rand lives in one of the larger cities on the east coast, that was named New San Diego.

However, things changed one faithful day when he ended up saving what he thought was just a normal human girl. After that, his life changed forever. And he still wasn't sure if it was in a good way. He was still trying to hide the fact that he was one of the most powerful Supers in the world, and now there was a possibility that his secret might get out just because he saved one girl.
