The Relevance of the Observation of the Sabbath Day

The study investigated into the various denominations in the Ejisu Municipality whether they observed the Sabbath day, to find out if they preach and teach on Sabbath, to find out if they understand the Sabbath teachings, to find out whether they obey the laws of the Sabbath,to find out the punishment given to a member of the denominations if he or she failed to observe the Sabbath day and to find out their reasons for observing and not observing the sabbath day. The study researched into three denominations and the names of the denominations were: Orthodox, Pentecostal and Protestant. The denominations that observed the Sabbath day on Sunday said they observed it because Christ resurrected on Sunday. The protestant said they observed the Sabbath on Saturday because God rested on the seventh day of the week. Observing the Sabbath significantly opens the door for man to communicate with God, it enhances the relationship between God and man. The study recommended that pastors should attend theological seminary in order to acquire sound knowledge about God, organizations ought to organize seminar on the theme: The observation of the Sabbath is abolished in this modern times.
