It's time for another Flash Travelers adventure for Sam and his friends - Randolph Coyote the Third, a humongous coyote who can talk and fly, and Bobbie Bear, an android who can navigate through the flashes that are doorways to other worlds. Sam faces a really big problem: His dad has lost his job, and can't make the mortgage payments. Worse yet, the bank intends to take the family's ancestral home and evict them - throw them out on the street, furniture and all. Can Sam and his friends save his home? It won't be easy. They must travel through another flash to outsmart The Rats of Finance.
There they meet Murray Gimmie Gimmie, one of the human-size rodents who manages that world's financial system. Murray and his associates operate by a simple motto: "I need it, I want it, I gotta gotta have it." And nothing is ever enough. How will Sam outwit the Rats of Finance? Will he find a way to save his home?
