The Ratlines

The Ratlines is a fictional thriller, set in the late 1980s, and inspired by the actual post WWII covert Nazi escape routes out of Europe. The Ratlines, the novel, takes us from Rome 1945 to Argentina and to a respected Manhattan law office where the mastermind of stolen Jewish treasures conducts his nefarious business. Fast forward to the 80's and Nicky, the protagonist, working at her first job at this Manhattan law office, stumbles on an evil plot to steal the Nazi treasure and which leads to Mossad involvement. Nicky will steal your heart-- she's a cross between Faye Kellerman's Rina Lazarus and a Jewish Nancy Drew--she'll be loved by millennials and their grandmothers alike.
