When their father mysteriously disappears, due to a false accusation, the sensible Roberta, scientific Peter and dreamy Phyllis are forced to leave their ideal life in London and move to the country, near an old train station. Every day they wave at the London train, believing they are sending their love to their father. After they discover what has happened to him, the attempt a rescue, helping others along the way. When they help an Old Gentleman who regularly take the 9:15 train, he is able to help them prove their father's innocence. But will their father ever be able to return?
