After the kidnapping of Death and Morana's attempt at vengeance, Morana is left in the fae court with the lords while anxiously waiting to retrieve Matthias from The Wastelands to the north.



Whispers of her status as the Queen of Darkness continue to circulate in Matthias's absence, and Morana is desperate to understand their meaning.



When the mission to retrieve Matthias reveals that a major god is waking up, Morana is forced to face even more danger as Inara and the major god, Raidan, keep the hunt for her powers alive. Morana is found running from not only her new enemies but her growing power and he darkness that lies within. Meanwhile, tensions rise between the courts leaving everyone wondering--who will win the coming war?
