Beskrivelse
The New Testament is of great importance for Christianity, containing almost all we know about Jesus and the activities and beliefs of his earliest followers. In this ten-volume commentary, based on the original Greek text, Revd Huggett explains the meaning and significance of all twenty-seven works, using modern, critical techniques and bypassing the many traditions and teachings of later Christianity. It is not influenced by any particular denominational viewpoint and, although his interpretation is a radical, liberal one, many comments will be useful to conservative believers too. The format is user-friendly, while the exposition does not avoid the difficult passages, often ignored in other commentaries. It is suitable for academic scholars and ordinary Christians alike.
