Daniel Lane has been anointed The Prophet by his Chickasaw blood brothers. His newfound ability to travel at will through time has led him to discover another has fallen victim to The Shimmering. Dr. Morgan Turner finds himself propelled back in time 100 years to 1862, during the Civil War. As he struggles to save the lives of those injured in the fighting at the battle of Shiloh, Daniel must find Morgan and convince him to leave the battle site before it is too late.
