The Production Notebooks

Behind the scenes of many significant U.S. productions today, is the newest member of the creative team-the "dramaturg." Now, for the first time, four of America's finest dramaturgs, under the editorial direction of a fifth, detail their efforts in revealing diary form, offering comprehensive histories of the development of four major productions by outstanding not-for-profit theatres, exploring the dramaturgical, directorial, design, acting and administrative aspects of mounting contemporary and classic plays.
