Beskrivelse

What ever happened to the carefree days of the 1950's when families like the one depicted in the popular television show "Leave it to Beaver" sat around the dinner table and actually talked to one another? We live in a new world, a sometimes impersonal world where technology has caused a disconnect where human interaction is concerned. It seems like we can say what we want and do what we want. Television, radio and platforms like concerts, plays and sporting events are being used to make political statements and our leaders are disrespected while Republicans and Democrats continue to play the game of politics at our expense where the side who does not have a president in power opposes the other sides policies; resulting in a unproductive political system. It is a world where civil unrest has re-ignited and our communities are divided and fragmented, a world where our inner-city youth needs more advantages and greater opportunities, a world where we live under the constant threat of terror and war, and a world where our privacy and personal information can be compromised by cyber threats from across the globe. We also live in a world where there needs to be greater acceptance of the rights of the LGBT community and awareness of transgender issues. In this book, I will discuss and analyze the many problems we face today in society and in the world, and how to potentially fix the problems facing our society and the world before it is too late.
