A Detective Simon Brade Mystery Who let the dog in? When Selford Prentice is found murdered in his sitting room at Medbury Grange, there were suspects with motive and suspects with opportunity. Unfortunately, it appeared that there were no suspects with both. The crime has the county police baffled with the Chief Constable favoring one suspect and the inspector in charge of the case another. It is up to Simon Brade, expert in Chinese porcelain and amateur sleuth, to find the murderer, but with little in the way of clues, the solution may rest on the question, "Who let the Chen, the Cairn Terrier, in, and when did he start to bark to announce his master's demise?"
