Beskrivelse
This book analyses the thematic and technical concerns of the plays of Mahesh Dattani, tracing in general the superb co-ordination of the subject and form, and looking in particular at its appropriation within modern Indian theatre. Though Dattani is modern, he is not far from Indian tradition; in fact, he gives a new meaning and value to Indian culture and tradition. As he is of the view that tradition is not so faint-hearted and it will survive in some meaningful way into the present. In case, any traditional form, in this fast changing world fails to be relevant, in any scenario, it is better to let it die naturally.
