Two worlds collide when four sisters visit a patch of derelict land which has been given over to nature, to carry out a survey on behalf of the conservationist father.Little do they know, but a gang of illegal immigrants from Eastern Europe have occupied one of the nearby arches and are making a fortune from smuggling cheap alcohol which they then relabel with popular brands.With their lucrative scheme exposed the gang hatch a plan to forcibly marry the sisters and so obtain British passports, thus legitimizing at least their presence in the country. But standing in their way is the girls' father, Professor Stanley, an immigrant himself and a man who is devoted to his family.Will the gang press on with their plans to marry the sisters by force? Or can they be persuaded to change their ways?The Pirates of Peckham is based on the hit Gilbert and Sullivan opera, The Pirates of Penzance, and is a hilarious contemporary take on an admired and much-loved classic.
