Captain A.E. Dingle (1874-1947) was a prolific British pulp fiction writer during the first half of the 20th century. Under a number of pseudonyms including Sinbad and Brian Cotterell, Dingle wrote nautical mysteries, romances, and adventures that drew on the mariner's love of life on the ocean. Popular titles include The Pirate Woman (1918), Gold Out of Celebes (1920), Pirates May Fly (1943) and Reckless Tide (1947).
