Beskrivelse
John Bunyan is most famous for writing The Pilgrim's Progress, and its later published sequel. Bunyan was imprisoned for his faith for nearly 12 years when he declared to his prosecutors, "If you release me today, I will preach tomorrow." It was during this time in prison when Bunyan penned his allegory of the trials and sufferings of The Pilgrim. The Pilgrim's Progress has been translated into over 200 languages-more than any other book except The Bible-and is considered one of the most significant works of English literature in history. "Delivered under the similtude of a dream," Bunyan's allegory captures the hearts and minds of readers with Bunyan's depth of understanding and scriptural knowledge, as well as his subtle comedy and witticisms. This edition contains both parts of Bunyan's tale, including all of the original scripture references in an easy-to-read format.
