When a house burns down the same night someone is lurking in the forest, she confronts her fears to learn she can influence the future through a genetic quirk.  Glowing handwriting and an ethereal house cat are just the beginning, if she's anything like her ancestors, Sera can bind time.

When a challenge to the winnings of a bygone poker game threatens the community, Sera must learn how to untangle family ties and wield her gifts in time to save the town — and the people — she's grown to love.
