Non-verbal communication or body language, also known as the unspoken, refers to any exchange in a conversation that does not involve the use of words. It is characterised by gestures (actions and reactions), attitudes, facial expressions (including micro-expressions) as well as other signals, conscious or unconscious, such as smells. Non-verbal communication is also concerned with the environment in which interactions take place.
