Beskrivelse
"The Perversity Plays" pulls together three plays by Gustavo Ott. In "80 Teeth, 4 Feet, 500 Pounds" two teenage friends find themselves responsible for the death of their best friend's sister. The ensuing cover-up stalks them through lives of baseball, drugs and the inevitable magnetic field of guilt that destroys everything they love. "Chat" explores the crossroads of the Internet's seductive power. There is a man seeking love from a terrorist organization, a teenager searching for companionship online, a woman trying to buy a baby, a kid demanding respect at school, and an immigrant finding a way to cross the border. In "Passport" a passenger steps off a train, only to find his world travels have gone on so long he is now lost between people, borders, and countries. This is a play about lost (or stolen) identity, and a society unable to communicate through language.
