The Perfect Child

All Claire was looking for was a friend to jump-start her social live after moving from Los Angeles to Atlanta. Natalie Lockwood seems ideal--rich, beautiful, married to handsome and successful Dr. Richard Lockwood and the mother of an adorable little boy. Claire also meets the doctor's younger brother and becomes instantly infatuated. The two women become firm friends, but Claire's admiration for Natalie's husband sours as she observes his controlling and sometimes baffling behavior. Natalie and Richard's son is bright, handsome and polite. Any parent would be proud to show off such a child. So why is his father determined to keep him hidden from everyone, even the child's grandmother? Richard professes to want more children but when Natalie becomes unexpectedly pregnant, her husband insists she have an abortion and becomes enraged when she refuses.
