Since Medieval times food has been such an important part of celebrations at holidays and festivals.When holidays and festivals roll around European cooks bring out the finest china and silver. They start preparing weeks in advance.All through the holiday or festival, bakeries and homes alike are filled with the wonderful fragrances of baking cookies, cakes, breads, pies, and candy. Most regionshave their own specialties. I have tried to put together recipes from England, Denmark, The Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia and Russia.Or what I call the old world, the home of true tratitio
