The Oasis

In this work of Biblical fiction, nine-year-old Joshua West lives in those final days of the forty-year trek of Israel across the wilderness. He wonders what it must be like in another land, for this is all he has ever known. He has heard many tales, even from his own grandparents, of times when houses had solid walls and could not simply be rolled up or packed away conveniently to be moved to another spot.
