The Ninja Inside Me: A story inspired by NMDA receptor encephalitis

A story inspired by Joy and Aroon's battle through overcoming the rare brain disease called NMDA Receptor Encephalitis. During a year-long hospital stay, this book was created as a communication tool between mother and son to help keep his cognitive and motor skills active. Aroon's inspiration for the book came from ninjas. His love for their inner superpowers and their unstoppable ability to beat up the bad guy, empowered him to keep fighting his illness. Together, mother and son wanted created an easy and simple to follow children's book to educate about NMDA Receptor Encephalitis. Follow Ninja A as he fights his way through many stages only to lead to discovering himself through this diagnosis and finding inspiration from within.
