Beskrivelse
This play reveals the exciting story of how the Russian military accepted the demand from women pilots to participate in the defence of their mother country in 1942. Most of the wartime nations employed women pilots only in non-combat roles but in Russia they were allowed to engage the enemy. Three regiments were formed involving women and one was entirely staffed by them. They were the night bombers the Germans called The Night Witches.
This play is their story and it is a tale of brave young women in wartime. A full production of the play could be undertaken or just a public reading would be entertaining. A solo private reading will also deliver a comfortable understanding of the story.
