Tag Stevens' teen children, Ty and Shay, find themselves in the wake of apocalyptic destruction and leave their besieged California home on a perilous journey toward Idaho, in search of relatives. Not knowing the dangers that lie ahead, they ride through perilous terrain, winter storms, and ruthless survivors, on an untamed adventure until misfortune calls. With RJ and Triss at his side, and a deciphered note in hand, Tag discovers the location of the teens, but sets in motion a twisting, turning, chain of events that could cost all of their lives. Amid sexual tensions, run-ins with the law, and strange dreams coming true, Tag struggles putting the pieces together and continues his relentless search at all costs, wondering if he'll ever find his kids or even live to see the next tomorrow.
