Beskrivelse

If there is one idea you take away from this book, let it be this:Don't have a stopping point. This is the foundation of everything else I'll be sharing. With this vital mindset in place, you'll be unstoppable. Without it, you'll be stuck. A stopping point is a place at which you're content to quit striving. It often begins as a singular goal, like a degree or a job. These are great goals to work towards, but they should not be the be-all end-all. When you decide that you're okay stopping where you are, you're settling, and settling is the enemy of excelling. This is how you trap yourself in mediocrity. Other people may be content to obtain a bachelor's degree and get a job, but that doesn't mean you should be. Your self-satisfaction shouldn't be determined by the expectations of others. An all-too-common instance of giving in to a stopping point is the college graduate who decides that their bachelor's degree is enough. They've gotten their diploma, completed 17 years of school, and gotten an entry-level job. Or even worse, they've decided to go with the Nurse Practitioner path when what they really want is to be a Registered Nurse, but it's too much school or too much money. They graduate and get their first job. They feel content to settle in.Maybe that's what their friends are doing. Maybe that's all that has ever been expected of them. Maybe they've been told their whole life that this is enough.Let me be the voice of reason: It's not.
