Justin, an American Engineer by profession, burned out by years of over work, drops out and finds a remote copra plantation in southern Mexico, which acts as his retreat. But as fate would have it, due to a mysterious drowning, he becomes involved in a series of violent events that forces him back into the society from which he had hoped to escape.
