In the late 1800s a baby is placed next to another in a hayfield. The girls are so alike that even the mother cannot see which one is hers. The girls are raised in the same family, but sixteen years later a couple claims to be the parents of the foundling. Can after all those years proof be found that they are the real parents? Who left the baby in the hayfield, and why?
