The Murder of Judge John P. Brown is the second novel in The Bremen & Whitacre Detective Agency Mystery series, and is the third series of novels for MW Burdette. In this book, John and Daphne are hired by a wealthy friend of the murdered judge to find his killer and bring him to justice. That friend is non other than the Governor of the State of Alabama.John Bremen and his wife, Daphne Whitacre, had launched their private detective agency after leaving their previous government jobs in the Dallas, Texas, area. John had become disillusioned with the FBI, and Daphne was frustrated that her career in law enforcement was also going no place fast.
