The Move Option

What do you do when times get bad? Moan, groan, then get to work to make things better, right? The President of the United States learns a celestial storm, traveling at the speed of light, will hit the Earth within the next five years, killing people's spirits, if not their bodies. His immediate dilemma is to determine if this information is sound. Einstein made it clear that the speed of light is the maximum speed which all energy, matter, and information in the universe can travel. How could knowledge of an event traveling at the speed of light get to the President's attention faster than the event itself? Rumor has it, Einstein was wrong, and there are those with the technology to prove it. The President, wanting to know if he should take action to prepare for the storm, sends his specially trained S.E.A.L. team to investigate the rumor. What the S.E.A.L.s report to the President when they return from their mission, starts a chain of planet altering events.
