Beskrivelse
Belly fat, also known as abdominal or visceral fat, is the fat stored around the abdomen and internal organs. There are two main types: subcutaneous fat, located just below the skin and visible as "pinchable" fat around the waist, and visceral fat, which surrounds and penetrates the internal organs within the abdominal cavity and is not visible from the outside.
Both types of fat have important functions, but excessive accumulation can lead to health risks. Excess subcutaneous fat is linked to obesity and related health problems, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. On the other hand, high levels of visceral fat are associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, certain cancers, metabolic syndrome, sleep disturbances, and fatty liver disease.
To manage belly fat and promote overall health, it is essential to adopt a healthy lifestyle. This book tells you all you need to know and do to totally reduce belly fat.
