The Miracle Railway

In 1910, George Miracle, 12, sweeps the platforms of London's busiest railway station. His pay is terrible but the tips are like gold. Having an uncle as stationmaster can be a disadvantage. With smoke and steam all around, he deals with passengers, their pets, proposals and problems. Helping one chap sees George travel to Hampstead Heath where he's arrested for murder!
