Three matriarchs, muddled through the American occupation and Japanese occupation during WWII by sheer wit and diplomacy. They came out of foreign domination stronger than the men. By the time peace and independence was reached, it was too late to break their spirit back into domestication. They have learned to fight for her country, take sole responsibility for her family and earn money. All while retaining the balance between feminine charm and subtle assertiveness that took a Women's Liberation Movement, a century later, to teach the women of other nations. The Cavite a earned a reputation for feistiness. They are dedicated to the family, hardworking and shrewd business managers.
