The March to Misery is a book about, Litus, a being who awakes into an unfamiliar world not knowing who they are, or what they are and Jane, a gruff but beautiful young woman trying to survive this world by grit and steel. On their travels they must deal with destructive cults, a religious prophecy, a corrupt monarchy, mysterious knights, and esoteric and abstract threats. The reader travel between many different and diverse characters from all walks of life as they deal with the struggle of life and the politics of higher figures and gods that rain down chaos. This series mixes those highlights of classic and modern fantasy with a splash of lynchian esotericism and abstract storytelling.
During Litus' travels he is told he's part of a religious prophecy, and goes on a pilgrimage to figure out whether he is this prophet, and who he really is.
