Beskrivelse
Discrimination occurs in the work environment, through the isolation of the employee by colleagues, the offer of working conditions lower than those available to other employees, or the non-receipt of promotions for management positions. In a macho society, prejudice against homosexuals in the workplace is sometimes veiled, however, the individual feels persecuted, can be fired, or even be the victim of sanctions and punishments arising from their sexual orientation. Discrimination against the LGBT public has been considered a violation of human rights since 1991, by Amnesty International, and so the rights of this public have grown over the years. Analyzing this profile of the organizational society, the following problem has arisen: the need to verify the form of manifestation of homophobia within organizations. In order to solve this problem, a qualitative survey was carried out by means of an interview with professionals in their work environment, in the cities of Ponta Grossa and Castro, seeking their opinion regarding the treatment of homosexuals in their workplace.
