The Man Who Ran

A story based on a tale that many will recognize: the Parable of the Prodigal Son from the Gospel of Luke. In this version, written entirely in rhyme, the story is as much about the prodigal son's reticent, careful father as it is about the careless, profligate son. The story is also about more than just the external events as provided in the original; it attempts to delve inside the characters to flesh them out and give them another dimension. At times touching, at other times amusing, it's a tale for the entire family.
