The Man of God's Choosing

When a church is between pastors the church usually puts together a committee called a Pulpit Committee. Its job is to locate and consider possible candidates for the position of pastor. While there is nothing in the Bible about pulpit committees, it is a group of church officers who have been given the authority to present to the church, potential pastors in an organized way. The committee plays an important part in the search process. However, in this process, many problems can develop and present themselves during both the search and afterward. The Man of God's Choosing is designed to help those on the pulpit committee in their search. It gives Biblical principles designed to help avoid many of the dangers that develop when a church is between pastors. It offers some suggestions as to where to look, what questions to ask, and how to conduct the search. It is written for those who are truly seeking the man the Lord has chosen to pastor their church.
