As God inspired the writing of this book I was meditating on my personal life and on where I was over twenty something years ago as I began my Christian journey. I thought about where God have brought me from to where I now stand boldly in faith I thought about how true the word of God is and how I put it through the test by practical application throughout the years I thought about when I started the study of the scriptures in the book of Proverbs and how in the ending of that study I confessed to God how big of a fool I myself had been, for therein it declare how the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge but fools despise wisdom and instruction. I realized that it was because of that very reason I myself had suffered many adversities in my life I was then lead to the words of James the brother of Jesus where he used as a figure of speech, a glass or mirror that an individual behold one's natural face in and go on one's way immediately forgetting one's reflection that the glass revealed of one's self. He used this speech to highly magnify the word of God that it is like a glass that one look into which give the spiritual reflection of the one looking into it. The difference being that God's word takes one deeper than the natural into one's inner most being. It being quick and powerful sharper than any double edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit the joints and the marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart or mind. I thought about the way that I look at others both the converted and the unconverted and how even today in my converted state of being I have no right to judge or cast stones at no other human being because when I look into the mirror (the perfect law of liberty - the word of God) I see the reflection of a man who being the chief of sinners have been saved only by the grace and the mercy of God God require obedience and mercy rather than sacrifice I have learned by hearing God's word and applying what I have heard to my own life is how God have brought me to where I am in him through faith in Jesus Christ today I understand the importance of practical application of God's word in my daily life I believe by practical application in the faith of Christ, God bring about our justification in himself When I look at "The Man In The Mirror," I am constantly mindful of where God have brought me from, then stepping back I always ask myself, Who am I to judge or cast stones at anyone else? I must first remove the plank from my own eye in order to see clearly to remove the speck that is in another human beings eye I thank God that he have provided us a mirror in which we can look continually and see a true reflection of who we really are; sinners saved by grace If we continue to look daily into the mirror we will not be a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, in that, we are continually remineded to love God with all our mind, body, and soul and to love others as we love ourselves Before "Casting Stones," let us remember first, to look at "The Man In The Mirror " This book unlike none other, get to the root a judgmental, hypocritical spirit and how to cast it out You my friend do not want to be without this inspirational book available to you today
