Beskrivelse
- This book discusses for the first time in scientific literature several¿evolutionary aspects that I identified as significantly important.
Some of these aspects are my own hypothesis, while others benefit from a new interpretation.
The core of my hypothesis is based on a novel interpretation of the geophysical events which occur on this planet and are named geomagnetic excursions.
My research documents changes, which ignited only 300,000 years ago in the brain of hominins, and which separated them from monkeys. Such a collection of changes in the hominin's brain architecture triggered significant different behavioral manifestations, and, in my opinion, led to a new species.
In my research I identifies two opposing cognitive revolutions: the first was a slide toward nonlinear thinking, while the second one was a brain functional reorientation toward linear thinking.
The adoption of linear mental mode produced paramount changes in mental processing, like changes in brain entropy, the quantification of qualities, and the creation of functional latencies¿associated to almost all senses processing. All mentioned changes made the human brain adopt an abstract, turning symbolic, way of analyzing the perceived reality. It created an imaginary reality that became the base of our civilization.
The book analysis cultural differences between Western and Eastern cultures, which were induced by cultural traditions but also conform to a differential brain substrate.
The last part, the most extensive part of the book, is dedicated to the future of our civilization.
